I’ve written previously about how no one is coming to save you.
I’ve written previously about how important it is to take ownership of your life and admit your mistakes.
I’ve written previously about the importance of taking ownership when things go wrong, while thanking others when things go right.
I’ve written previously about how playing the victim game and blaming everyone else for your problems is a recipe for disaster.
My advice on that last point, playing the victim game and blaming everyone else, has been to simply stop blaming others for your situation.
I’ve given this advice with the belief that it’s literally no one else’s fault but your own.
But I want to take that back.
I want to tell you that everything that’s happened wrong in your life is actually because of someone else.
The hurt you feel, the financial errors you’ve made, the degradation of health, being lonely. It’s not your fault. It’s someone else’s.
The things that are keeping you up at night, making you anxious, causing you to hate what you see in the mirror. It’s not your fault. It’s someone else’s.
Who’s fault is it?
Pick your oppressor. The government, your boss, your spouse, a group of individuals, the system. Pick any one. It’s their fault.
Ok, so now you don’t get to just blame other’s for your situation, but it’s actually true.
So, what now? Where does that get you? How does that improve your situation or help you in any way?
You only want to blame others for your situation because you don’t like your situation.
You want to blame others for your health, because you don’t like being unhealthy.
You want to blame others for you finances, because you don’t like being broke.
The list goes on, but the truth is if you were happy, you wouldn’t feel the need to blame anyone for doing you wrong.
So, I ask you – is the fact that someone else is at fault for your situation help you become more happy? Does casting blame bring change?
My point here is no matter if the blame you put on others is true or not, it doesn’t matter.
At the end of the day, you’re still going to be in the same situation no matter who’s fault it is.
The only way to have a fighting chance to change that situation is by taking actions that will lead you out of the situation.
Now, knowing who is hurting you is great so you can avoid those people. It’s powerful to realize that.
But realizing that without taking action yourself is insanity.
You are the hero you’re looking for.
Save yourself and break free from the current situation you hate no matter who’s fault it is.
