Once you feel true fulfillment and happiness, there’s no going back
It shows you that there is a life worth living, but it usually requires you to turn away from what others want of you
Once you choose fulfillment over pleasure, which to me is happiness, then indulging in what you used to love becomes hell
It becomes pain and sorrow that no one else understands
Everyone else’s “happy” turns into your prison
Being happy comes at a cost
A cost of turning away from someone you care for
A cost of not being understood
A cost of screaming to the world “this is me” and everyone saying “we need more”
Being happy is not the easy choice as many other’s think
Being happy takes courage to choose your life and live it
To be healthy in mind, body and spirit
Happy is not the norm and people will lash out at you for stating you are
Beware of being happy for even one day because it will turn you against everything you’ve come to know
Despite this, I choose to be happy
