One cut, many cuts

Being a human is pretty awesome.

Most of the time.

But there definitely are downsides as opposed to just being a wild animal grazing the land.

One thing that makes being a human kinda sucky at times is the fact that when we make a mistake, we don’t just get hurt once and move on.

We get hurt thousands of times over the course of our live for one mistake we made.

How sucky is that?

We can lose our temper one time and curse out our family or someone we love.

We cool down and we start to realize how unnecessary and dumb we were and get upset at ourselves.

We think about it hundreds of times over the coming weeks.

Not only do we continually hurt ourselves over and over again, but then our family or whoever we hurt reminds us of the hurt and so we hurt again.

The cycle continues for either days, weeks, years, or our lives for one single mistake.

This concept has come from The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz, and that’s just the introduction.

This concept of one cut leading to many cuts is the bane of my existence, so I’m pumped up beyond belief to dig into this and will be sharing more about this book over the coming weeks!
