Admit Defeat

For me, life becomes easier to a degree when you can admit defeat.

That might seem counterintuitive as most people would say that admitting defeat means you’re a loser. You lost.

But when you can admit defeat to your flaws, to a life that brings trouble, to a problem you have, you can reach out for help.

A weight is lifted off your should when you stop pretending to be something you’re not.

Admitting defeat comes from a place of strength in a lot of ways.

Especially, when the admission leads to getting the help and support needed to make positive, long term changes, for both you and the ones around you.

Surrendering is not an end, but a beginning.
